Overview
Mimecast is pleased to announce the launch of the Google Threat Intelligence (GTI) Integration, now available from the Integrations Hub. This integration connects Google's global threat intelligence network, powered by VirusTotal, with Mimecast Email Security, enabling organizations to automatically block malicious threats before they reach their users' inboxes.
What's changing
- Proactive Email Protection: Threat indicators from Google Threat Intelligence are automatically ingested into Mimecast and enforced across inbound email, helping organizations stay ahead of emerging threats without manual intervention.
- Flexible, Customizable Controls: You can choose which types of threat data to ingest and apply filters based on threat category, confidence level, and severity, ensuring enforcement is tailored to your organization's security policies.
- Optional Automated Remediation: For organizations with Mimecast Remediation enabled, the integration can automatically act on previously delivered messages that match newly imported threat indicators.
Recommended actions
- Ensure you have access to both a Mimecast Email Security MX account and a Google Threat Intelligence account with a valid API key.
- Navigate to Integrations | Integrations Hub in the Mimecast Administration Console to configure the integration.
