Overview
Mimecast is pleased to announce that the Engage training module video player is changing to Vimeo.
What's changing
Engage is migrating video players from JW Player to Vimeo. This update applies to all Mimecast-created training video content across your Engage and Awareness Training environments.
Updated player User Interface (UI): The video player interface will have a refreshed look and feel powered by Vimeo.
Core functionality — play, pause, volume, full screen, captions — remains the same.
Language selector behavior: The Vimeo player includes a language setting that only impacts the video that is currently playing. It does not affect the language of quiz questions, notifications, or other communications.
No disruption to existing campaigns: Active training campaigns will continue uninterrupted. No reconfiguration is needed.
Why we're making this change
This migration positions Engage to expand language support more quickly and efficiently, enabling faster rollout of localized training content for global organizations.
Recommended actions
Nothing needs to be done as a result of these changes. This change will take effect automatically on April 24th, 2026.
