| A: | Mimecast will no longer sell Sync & Recover Cloud Gateway (Sync & Recover CG) after 11 August 2026. This change means that Sync & Recover CG will no longer be available as a standalone add-on or as part of certain Mimecast plans. Instead, it will be replaced by a new solution, Backup & Recovery, which offers more modern and comprehensive capabilities. |

| A: | Sync & Recover CG was originally designed for Exchange mailboxes, but today, businesses rely on Microsoft 365 for much more than email — including Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. | Q: | Will my existing Sync & Recover CG subscription be affected? |
| A: | No, your current subscription is not affected. You will continue to have full support for Sync & Recover CG as long as your contract is active. Standalone Sync & Recover CG renewals will be accepted until 11 February 2027. For plan customers, your plan will continue to renew normally Sync & Recover CG will simply not be included after 11 February 2027, with Mailbox Backup & Recovery taking its place. |

| A: | Yes, standalone Sync & Recover CG contracts can be renewed until 11 February 2027. After this date, renewals will no longer be accepted. For plan customers, Sync & Recover CG will simply not be included in renewals processed after 11 February 2027, with Mailbox Backup & Recovery taking its place. |
| Q: | What happens to my Sync & Recover CG when my plan renews? |
| A: | If your plan renews after 11 February 2027, Sync & Recover CG will no longer be included. Mailbox Backup & Recovery, which has been running alongside Sync & Recover CG since 11 August 2026, will continue as the backup and recovery component of your plan going forward. If your plan renews before 11 February 2027, Sync & Recover CG will remain for the duration of that renewed contract term and will be replaced at your subsequent renewal. Your account manager will be in touch ahead of your renewal to walk you through the changes. |

| A: | Mimecast will provide migration support to help you transition from Sync & Recover CG to Backup & Recovery. Please note that Backup & Recovery is a new platform, and existing Sync & Recover CG backup data will not be carried over.
