Overview
Mimecast is pleased to announce the rollout of migration from the legacy DMARC Analyzer 1.0 to DMARC Analyzer 2.0, starting in July 2026.
Customers will be migrated in batches, and will be informed closer to the time, to confirm when their migration will take place.
What's changing
Changes in key areas of DMARC 2.0 functionality (Data residency, Application domain names (URLs), and Authentication) means that you will need to carry out additional steps in order to complete migration. This includes:
- Data residency: Customer data moves from Ireland to your home region (UK, Germany, US, etc.).
- DNS records: You will need to update DMARC and SPF DNS records to point to your new regional instance, instead of Ireland. You can self-manage records, or use DNS delegation.
-
Login via the Mimecast Administration Console: The new product is accessed through the Mimecast Administration Console.
Customers with only DMARC Analyzer 1.0 will need to have the Mimecast Administration Console provisioned, and will need to set up Administrators in the Mimecast Administration Console before migration.
Recommended actions
Read DMARC Analyzer 2.0 - Migration Guide from DMARC Analyzer 1.0 and follow recommendations on steps to take before, during, and after the migration.
