Q: Do I need to do anything to get Remediation 2.0?
A: No. Remediation 2.0 will be rolled out in phases. You do not need to do anything.
Q: Will this change how I currently use Threat Remediation?
A: No. The user interface and workflows remain the same. You'll simply notice faster remediation times.
Q: Will my existing remediation actions still work?
A: Yes. All existing remediation capabilities work exactly as before. Just significantly faster.
Q: Does Remediation 2.0 change how messages are removed from M365 mailboxes?
A: Yes. Remediation 2.0 removes the entire message, ensuring complete elimination of the threat. The previous approach of removing attachments individually is replaced by a single, decisive message-level action - faster, cleaner, and more thorough. If you have questions about how this applies to your environment, contact your Customer Success Manager.
Q: Do I need to reconfigure anything for my Office 365 environment?
A: No. Your existing authentication and permissions remain valid.
Q: What happens to my remediation history and logs?
A: All historical data is preserved. New remediations benefit from enhanced logging, but nothing is lost.
Q: Can I still remediate emails in bulk?
A: Absolutely. In fact, Remediation 2.0 handles large bulk operations much better than before with the same fast, consistent performance.
Q: Does this work with Email Security - API deployment?
A: Yes. Remediation 2.0 provides the same fast performance for both Cloud Gateway and API Email Security customers.
Q: What if I experience issues with remediation?
A: Contact Mimecast Support immediately. We have enhanced monitoring and logging to quickly diagnose any issues.
Q: Where can I learn more about the technical architecture?
A: Your Customer Success Manager can provide additional technical documentation upon request.
Q: Is this available to only MEIR Customers?
A: Remediation 2.0 is available to all Threat remediation customers.
