This article explains how to log into the Mimecast Personal Portal, setting or resetting your password, and troubleshooting login issues, including Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations if enabled by your administrator.
Logging in to the Mimecast Personal Portal.
You can log in to the Mimecast Personal Portal, by using the following steps:
- Navigate to: https://login.mimecast.com
- Enter your Email Address in the login screen.
- Click on Next.
If your administrator has chosen to use a Single Sign-On technology you will be redirected to the sign in page of the identity provider.
- Select one of the following options from the drop-down:

- Select Cloud if you're using your Mimecast Cloud password.
- Select Domain if you're using your Domain (Network) password.
- In the Password field, enter the password that has been provided by your Administrator.
If your administrator has chosen to use a Single Sign-On technology, you will be redirected to the sign in page of the identity provider.
- Select Login.
Setting your Password
If your administrator has enabled cloud password resets as per Cloud Password Reset - Configurations; you can set your cloud password from the Mimecast Personal Portal. This involves you:
- Requesting a cloud password reset via email.
- Receiving a one time, time limited code via email.
- Entering the code into the Mimecast Personal Portal log in dialog.
- Being forced to reset your cloud password.
- Using the new cloud password from then on.
You can reset your cloud password, by using the following steps:
- Enter the Mimecast Personal Portal URL into your browser.
- Enter your Email Address to log in. This authenticates you as a valid user.
- Click on Next.
- Click the Reset Cloud Password link. A captcha panel is displayed to prevent unauthorized access to your account.
- Enter the displayed Captcha.
- Click on Reset Password.
- Select the Email option.
- Click on Next. You'll receive an email from us containing a reset code.
- Enter the Reset Code.
- Click on Continue.
- Enter and confirm a New Password making sure it meets the displayed requirements.
- Click on Confirm.
You can change your existing cloud password, by using the following steps:
- Select the Settings
icon and then Change Cloud Password.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter and confirm your new password, ensuring it meets the requirements detailed on screen.
- Select Change Password.
