Engage - Branding

This article describes how to connect your custom branding and notification sets to Engage email notifications and is intended for Administrators.

Custom branding options are only available for Email Security Cloud Gateway and not available for Email Security Cloud Integrated.

Introduction

Branding for Emails is a setting relevant to the following Engage email notifications:

  • Training Campaign notifications.
  • Module Notifications.
  • Training Module Weekly Reminders.
  • Module Watchlist Notifications.

To set up your Engage custom gateway branding and notification sets, see Configuring Custom Branding.

Branding for Emails

You can navigate to Branding for Emails by using the following steps:

  1. Log on to your Engage platform.
  2. Click on Settings | Email Templates
  3. The Email Templates page will open.
Email Templates
  1. Branding for Emails can be Enabled or Disabled:
    • Enabled: This will apply your gateway custom branding and notification sets to Engage email notifications. This will apply a header to notification emails that includes the color scheme and logo from within your gateway custom branding set.
      • You can apply further customization to branded Engage email notifications in terms of email content, formatting, and adding additional images. This customization is performed by editing the individual emails within Modules or Email Templates. See Custom Email Notifications & Phishing Translated Templates.
      • The Branding for Emails configuration does not apply to Engage Phishing emails. To add branding to Phishing Translated Templates, edit the translated template and either insert your logo as an image or use the HTML editor to insert the image as source code. See Custom Email Notifications & Phishing Translated Templates
      • If Branding for Emails is Enabled, but you do not have gateway branding and notification sets in place, the Mimecast logo and blue header will be added to Engage email notifications instead of your custom logo.
    • Disabled: This will remove the header and logo from all Engage email notifications, including Training Campaign and Module Notifications, Training Module Weekly Reminders, and Module Watchlist Notifications.

You can still add branding and customization to Engage notifications with Branding for Emails set to Disabled
Customization to content, formatting, and adding images is performed by editing the individual emails.
Add custom branding by inserting your logo as an image or using the HTML editor to insert the image as source code. See Custom Email Notifications & Phishing Translated Templates.

If the Engage custom branding and notification sets exist, these are automatically applied to Phishing Landing Pages and can be enabled/disabled when being created.
If you have no custom branding in place, Mimecast’s branding is applied.
