Overview
What's changing
Training reminder emails will now include Targeted Training in addition to Company Wide Training. This will impact any customers who have all of the following set up:
- Weekly reminders enabled.
- Have assigned Targeted Training.
- Have users with overdue Targeted Training.
Administrators should be aware that their end users will be reminded to complete Targeted Training as part of the weekly reminder emails. For most accounts, we do not anticipate this change having a major impact. However, organizations that rely heavily on Targeted Training may be impacted to a greater extent. This applies to organizations with both of the following features:
- The majority of the training assignments have been Targeted Training, rather than Company Wide Training.
- The majority of users have not completed Targeted Training.
However, note that all users should be able to see their outstanding training by navigating to My Training Library | Targeted Training as shown below.
Recommended actions
Customers should be aware that if weekly training reminders are enabled and a user has overdue Targeted Training; the user will now get an email reminder for the Targeted Training. All reminders go out every Tuesday, and this will continue to occur unless users begin the outstanding training. To prevent additional weekly reminders, administrators can delete outstanding training prior to Tuesday.
Weekly reminders can be enabled or disabled by navigating to Settings | Email Templates.
Note: There is no way to limit the scope to strictly company-wide emails within weekly email reminders. For the first time, outstanding Targeted Training assignments will be included in email training reminders.
