Awareness Training - Accessing Awareness Training

This article describes how to access Mimecast Awareness Training, how to reset your password if you forget it, and how to accept our privacy policy the first time you log on. It is intended for Administrators.

This functionality is relevant to Email Security Cloud Gateway only.
Email Security Cloud Integrated users will not need to log in and will navigate directly to training videos.

Logging On

Users must have a Mimecast login to access Mimecast Awareness Training. However, depending on how their account is configured, End Users may not require it to access the Mimecast Awareness Training modules. Clicking on a link in a module's notification either:

  • Takes you automatically to the module's video without having to log on to Mimecast. See Configuring Unauthenticated (Login Free) Access.
  • Displays a login dialog for you to enter your login credentials. If this is the case, you can use the following steps:
    1. Enter your Login details into the dialog.
    2. Click on Next.
    3. Select your Password Type from the dropdown list.
    4. Enter your Password.
    5. Click on Log In.

Administrators can log on by using the following steps:

  1. Either:
    • Click on Awareness Training via the More Services section in the left-hand menu. See Accessing Other Mimecast Applications.
    • Enter the https://login.mimecast.com URL into your browser.
  1. Enter your Login details in the dialog.
  2. Click on Next.
  3. Select your Password Type from the drop-down list.
  4. Enter your Password.
  5. Click on Log In.

First Time Users

If you're accessing Mimecast Awareness Training for the first time, our privacy policy is displayed after you successfully logon. You can accept this, by using the following steps:

  1. Click the Tick Box to give your consent.
  2. Click on the Privacy Policy link to display the full policy.
  3. Click on Continue.

You’ll receive a welcome message in your inbox to introduce you to the training experience. The message normally includes a link to an initial training video on the Mimecast Awareness Training platform.
If you haven't accessed the platform before, you'll be asked to answer five questions concerning your approach towards cybersecurity before you can access the video:

  1. Select the Answer that best fits your attitude to the first question.
  2. Click on Continue, to access the next question.
  3. Repeat steps 1-2 for the next four questions.

Clicking Continue on the fifth question closes the attitude survey and takes you to the Mimecast Awareness Training platform.

Resetting Your Password

Should you need to reset your Mimecast Awareness Training password:

  1. Click on the Reset It Here logon dialog link. A Reset Your Password dialog opens in a new browser tab.
  2. Enter your Email Address.
  3. Click on Reset Password. An email is sent to your Inbox with instructions on how to reset your password.
  4. Click on Continue, to return to the logon dialog.
  5. Click on the link in the Email Message.
    • A browser tab is displayed confirming that your password has been reset.
    • An email is sent to your Inbox with a temporary password.
  1. Enter the Temporary Password into the logon dialog.
  2. Complete the Change Your Password dialog by:
    • Entering a new password.
    • Confirming your new password.
  1. Click on Continue.

Logging Off

You can log off from Mimecast Awareness Training, by using the following steps:

  1. Click on your Account Icon in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Click on Logoff.
