Issue
No Archive Search results are returned when Mimecast Personal Portal search requests meet the following criteria:
- The search is run in Mimecast for Outlook AND
- The full subject field of a message is used AND
- The subject line contains a hyphen
This is a known limitation not on the Mimecast Product Team Roadmap to resolve.
Workaround
To return the required Archive Search in the Mimecast Personal Portal:
- Prior to running the search
- Add the escape character "\" before the hyphen "-" in the subject line.
