This guide describes how Administrators can search, filter, view, and modify a Microsoft IM Task.

Searching IM Tasks
To search for a particular task and apply filters:
- Click on the All drop-down menu and select one of the following:

- All: Displays all tasks.
- Name: Searches by the name created for the task.
- Created by: Searches by the Administrator who created the task.
- Enter any known details in the Search field.
- Press the Enter key. Your results are displayed.
Filtering IM Tasks
To apply filters to the tasks displayed:
- Click on the Filters dropdown menu.
- Select the Filters you wish to display.
- Click on the Apply button.
- Click on Show button to select 50, 100, 300 or 500 results to display.
- Click on the
icon to filter the columns to display.
Viewing IM Task Details:
To view an IM Task’s details:
- Log in to the Mimecast Administration Console.
- Navigate to Services | IM Sync.
- Click on a task in the list to display its:

Summary Details: This provides details on the task itself:
Field / Option Description Name Displays the name created for the task. Description Displays the description provided for the task. Source The source is the place from which the data originates. Created by The Administrator who created the task. Created Displays the date and time the task was created. Application ID Identifier used to call the MS Teams Data.

Last Sync Details: This provides details on last sync of data:
Field / Option Description Last Execution This displays the date and time of the last sync. Status Displays information about the connectivity to Mimecast. The statuses are: - Success - The data was synced correctly and successfully.
- Fail - The entire sync has failed and Mimecast recognizes the cause for this. For instance, the call to Microsoft has not worked.
- Warning - The sync has taken place but there are errors present.
- Unknown - The sync has failed and there is no confirmed reason for this. For instance, this could happen if the task has just started or may still be processing.
Messages The amount of messages exchanged. Channels The number of channels used. 1-1 Chats The amount of 1 to 1 chats between users. Sync Time The length of the sync time.

Modifying an IM Task
To modify an IM Task:
- Log in to the Mimecast Administration Console.
- Navigate to Services | IM Sync.
- Click on the desired IM Task and this opens into IM Sync Task Details.
- Click on the Edit button and modify the Name / Description.
- Click on the Save button.
