This article provides guidance on how the Service Monitor cloud password works. How to reset the password and change the password.
The Service Monitor password does not affect your AD or cloud password.
Resetting Your Cloud Password
If you've forgotten your cloud password, you can reset it. This sends a temporary password to the email address you've provided. Additionally, the temporary password is sent to your mobile phone, assuming its number has been stored in Mimecast. The temporary password allows you to log in, but forces you to create a new permanent password.
To reset your cloud password:
- Click on the Forgot your password? link in the log in dialog.
- Enter your Email Address.
- Click the Reset Password button.
Changing Your Cloud Password
Once you've successfully logged in to the Service Monitor, you can change your cloud password. To change your cloud password in the Service Monitor v4:
- Click the Account icon in the top right corner.
- Click the Change Password menu item.
- Complete the dialog as follows:

| Current Password | Enter your current password (i.e., the one you want to change). |
| New Password | Enter a new password. |
| Confirm New Password | Reenter your new password. |

- Click the Change button.

To change your cloud password in the Service Monitor v3:
- Click on the Change Password option on the left side of the screen.
- Complete the dialog as follows:
Field / Option Description Current Password Enter your current password (i.e., the one you want to change). New Password Enter a new password. Confirm New Password Reenter your new password. - Click the Change button.
