Overview

Mimecast is pleased to announce an enhancement to Email Security Cloud Integrated, that allows administrators to control the actions applied to messages that are detected as Graymail.

Graymail is typically defined as "mail I want, but not in my inbox right now". Examples of Graymail include newsletters and marketing mails that you've subscribed to but which are not person-to-person communications.

What's changing

• Customers will see a new set of policy action options within Email Security Cloud Integrated email policies that define what action should be applied to Graymail messages.
• The default action is to move messages that are classified as Graymail to the recipients' Junk folder.
• A Graymail widget will become available on the Home page and on the graph, but not at launch, as the Home page is undergoing additional enhancements that will also introduce Graymail information.
