Overview
Mimecast is excited to announce an update to Case Review Exports. This enhancement improves the speed, reliability, and scalability of exports, allowing them to handle larger data volumes effectively.
This initiative directly addresses customer feedback regarding current export limitations and aims to significantly boost customer satisfaction by providing a more flexible solution for complex export scenarios.
What's changing
- Faster, more scalable exports.
- Allowing to run multiple concurrent exports at a time.
- Updated retry mechanism for failed exports.
-
Metadata File Enhancements:
- Timing: Previously, the metadata file was generated at the beginning of an export. With this update, the metadata file will now be generated at the end of the export process.
-
Additional information: The metadata file will now include additional information, such as:
- Full recipient list
- Attachment names
- Inclusion of Bcc fields (when opted for).
-
Updated File Naming Convention for EML Export ZIP:
- Previously, when opening the ZIP of an export, the subject line of each email was displayed. With this update, the naming convention has been revised. Now, each item in the ZIP will display a unique value. This change ensures a more consistent and organized structure for exported files.
Recommended actions
There are no required configurations or downloads.
The process to perform an export will remain the same. Once the update is performed, customers will simply experience a faster and more reliable Case Review Export process.
