Aware - Execute a Search

Search and Discover allows you to retrieve or export an individual's content from integrated platforms for various purposes such as litigation or incident investigation. It provides a comprehensive view of all data, including edited or deleted content. The application is often used for corporate litigation needs and for gaining additional context during incident investigations. It allows for an in-depth examination of specific conversations, aiding in understanding potential situations.

To execute a search to discover content, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Search and Discover  application.
  2. Select the Create a New Search button in the top right-hand corner.
  3. To execute a search, select a Data Access Set . See Creating a Data Access Set if you need to set up a New Data Access Set.

  4. Complete the following Basic Information for your search:
      • Search by User: Search by an individual or individuals by email and include keywords (optional).
      • Search by Platform Group: Search a specific group (team or channel) within your connected content platforms and include keywords (optional).

      • Search by DM Conversations: Search for Direct Message conversations between two or more participants.
  1. You will define the Search Criteria depending on the selected Search Type. If using Slack, select the main Organization Workspace if you would like to search on Direct Messages. It is typically denoted by a yellow Slack icon.
  2. To change the default settings, you can customize the AI Analysis. The analysis utilizes our proprietary artificial intelligence data models to help further filter content by sentiment, toxicity, language, code, or information quality.
  3. Select Start your search.
  4. You will automatically be directed back to the Search and Discover  main page where you will see Recent Searches as well as the one you've just executed.
  5. A processing icon will appear next to your new search, indicating that you cannot click into it during this time.
  6. After processing, the icon will disappear, allowing you to view the discovered data. Search and Discover reports may take up to 24 hours, depending on the search criteria and the volume of returned content.
