Slack Nudges is currently unavailable to customers in the Jersey region.
This article contains information on configuring and managing Slack integration for Behavioral Nudges in Engage, including enabling notifications, setting up the integration via the Integrations Hub, and confirming successful Slack Nudge creation.
Data from Test Campaigns will not trigger Nudges.
Prerequisites
If you have Targeted Threat Protection, please ensure that End User Awareness has been turned off.
See Configuring User Awareness and Configuring URL Protection Definitions (see Enable User Awareness under the Inbound Settings section).
You can navigate to the Slack section of Behavioral Nudges by using the following steps:
- Log on to Engage.
- Navigate to Nudges | Simulated Phishing | Edit.
- To enable the notification channel, select Slack.
Once the notification has been enabled, the following banner will be displayed.
Slack Nudges are not available until an integration with Slack is configured via the Integrations Hub.
- To update the Nudge Rule, select the Edit button.
- Click on the Integrations Hub link | Scroll down to Slack and select Configure New.
- For Application Name: Enter a name that will help you easily identify the application.
- For Description: Enter a description to allow you to identify it.
- Click the Authorize button and wait for the authorization process to complete.
- You will be redirected to a pop-up where you need to click the Allow button.
- You will then be redirected to a UI, where you can view the newly created integration.
- To verify that the Slack Nudge was successfully created, go to Slack, where the Mimecast Bot will appear.
- If a user has already received a phishing email and subsequently clicks on it after this workflow has been completed, they will receive a corrective Nudge via email about the risky behavior. The same Nudge will also be sent on Slack along with the hyperlink to the video
