This article contains information on creating, managing, and reporting on Training Campaigns, including setup steps, timelines, notifications, editing, cloning, and deleting campaigns.
Creating a Training Campaign
You can create a Training Campaign using the New Training Campaign button which launches a multi-step Wizard, guiding you through the setup which includes Campaign Details, Select Videos, Campaign Timeline, Notifications, and Summary.
To create a new Training Campaign:
- Log in to the Mimecast Administration Console.
- Navigate to Engage | Training Campaigns | New Training Campaign, which launches the multi-step Wizard.
Campaign Details
- Enter a Name and Description, and select the Recipient Groups | Continue.
Select Videos
- Select the training videos for your campaign and click Continue.
- You can now select multiple videos for your campaign with a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 12 videos per single training campaign.
- Browse the video library and search by video and filter by seasons, categories, or topic.
- You can toggle the New Content button which will display the new content available in the platform.
The initial release will not include support for Custom Modules in new Training Campaigns. This is anticipated to roll out as a fast follow in upcoming weeks.
Any Targeted Training Campaigns you've previously scheduled with a custom training module will continue to function as they did previously. Any Targeted Training Campaign with Custom Modules will go out as originally scoped without any additional action needed on your part.
Campaign Timeline
The options available at this stage depend on how many videos you selected. If you select a single video, you'll see two due date options:
- Specific calendar date, or
- Relative due date, calculated from each user's enrolment date.
If you choose the relative due date, an additional option, Assign to New Users, will appear. Enabling this will automatically enroll any new users who join the recipient groups while the campaign is still active.
If you selected more than one video, you'll see an additional scheduling option alongside Release All at Once: Set Release Cadence Per Video. This allows you to launch videos on a defined cadence, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly, so content reaches users incrementally over time rather than all at once. Users will have 30 days to complete each training assignment.
A single campaign can include multiple videos or modules assigned together, rather than needing to be scheduled as separate sends. This means a learning path covering several topics can be built and launched as one campaign.
Notifications
In the Notifications page you can enable assignment notifications, new user notifications, and you can preview the notification.
- Click the eyeball icon | Continue.
Summary
In the Summary page you can confirm the details of your campaign such as the Campaign Name, Description, Recipient Groups, Videos Included, Campaign Timeline, and Notifications.
Once you've confirmed the details of your campaign, you'll be redirected to the Campaigns List where you can view and access all campaigns that were created. Company Wide Training will be pinned to the top to make it easier to find and access.
The three dots alongside the campaigns allow you to select options like edit, clone, or delete.
