Large File Send - Setting Up

This article explains how to set up Large File Send and is intended for use by Administrators.

Considerations 

Mimecast for Mac only supports Large File Send on macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or lower.

Preconditions

• You need administrator access and edit permissions for Services | Applications functionality in the Mimecast Administration Console.
• Your users have access to the required end-user application(s):
  • Mimecast for Mac.
  • Mimecast for Outlook.
  • Mimecast Personal Portal.

Setting up Large File Send

You can set up Large File Send by using the following steps:

1. Log in to the Mimecast Administration Console.
2. Navigate to Users & Groups | Applications.
3. Click on either:

• • The New Application Settings button.
  • An existing Application Setting.

4. In the Common Application Settings section, ensure you have selected the appropriate Group and Authentication Profile to which the settings will be applied.
5. Navigate to the LFS Settings section, and select Pro - 2 GB Limit.

6. You can amend other Large File Send Service and Sender Preference settings as required.
7. Click on Save.

After the changes to the Application Setting are saved, it can take up to 15 minutes to take effect in the relevant Mimecast application.

You should restart the application to ensure that the changes have been picked up.
