Overview
Mimecast is pleased to announce the availability of Retention Adjustments and new email actions (Report, Print, and Forward) within Case Review.
What's changing
Case Review users will now be able to perform the following:
- Retention Adjustments:
Users with Manage Retention Adjustment rights will be able to perform Retention Adjustments for emails resulting from an Archive Search. Users will be able to perform one of the below adjustments on emails:
- Change a message's retention period to a new value.
- Immediately purge a message.
- Message Actions:
Users will be able to Report emails as Spam, Phishing, or Malware. Additionally, they will be able to Print emails and Forward them to any user in their domain.
Recommended actions
Nothing needs to be done as a result of these changes.
Comments
This seems very limited. When would you want to do a retention adjustment based off a single search. You need to add this feature within a case, so that after emails have been sorted in a review set they can then have retention adjustment applied.
