Overview
Mimecast is introducing a new, modular Onboarding experience for its Email Security service. This update is designed to make Onboarding easier, more flexible, and more secure for all customers, including those using Microsoft 365 (Standard and GCC High) and non-Microsoft 365 environments.
What's changing
Simplified Onboarding:
We have streamlined the setup process to make it easier for you to get started and manage your email security with Mimecast.

Non-Linear, Modular Onboarding Experience:
You can now move forward and backward within the Onboarding wizard and view or update Onboarding steps as needed, giving you greater flexibility and control. -
Improved Domain Validation:

Consent-Driven Domain Validation - We are enhancing the Microsoft 365 domains setup process in Mimecast by introducing Consent-Driven Domain setup. This new feature requires explicit consent from domain owners or authorized administrators before any domain can be added to your Mimecast account.
This enhancement supports both Microsoft 365 Standard and GCC High customers. - For Non-Microsoft 365 Customers - Add and validate up to 50 domains at once using a single TXT or CNAME record, making bulk setup much faster and simpler.

Consent-Driven Domain Validation - We are enhancing the Microsoft 365 domains setup process in Mimecast by introducing Consent-Driven Domain setup. This new feature requires explicit consent from domain owners or authorized administrators before any domain can be added to your Mimecast account.
New Integrations within Integrations Hub:
To support consent-driven domain setup for Microsoft 365 customers, we have added new integrations within the Integrations Hub. This ensures that domain configuration changes can be done via authorization to your Microsoft 365 tenant.

- New Integrations Available to All Customers: The latest Consent-Based Domain Setup integration within the Integrations Hub is now available to all Mimecast customers—both new and existing. This makes it easier to manage domain validation and configuration changes with proper authorization, regardless of your Microsoft 365 environment.
