Issue

Mimecast is aware of an issue with Archive Search, eDiscovery, End User Applications, and Message Tracking where the "From" display name in search results may not match the message header, and results may be returned out of scope of the search query.

This issue is commonly observed when a service sends a high volume of emails from the same address but varies the "From" display name across messages, rather than using unique email addresses.

Workaround

This is a known product limitation that is not on the Product Team Roadmap to resolve. Please reach out to your Account Team if you'd like to discuss the impact of the issue to your organizational priorities.
